Today we introduce Shani’s Showroom, new to The Fairy Tale Fair and selling with us at Brighton Open Market on March 29th.
I’m Shani Butchers a dressmaker from Brighton, I also make children’s clothes in unusual prints and designs. I have a range of gifts from quirky retro cushions and bags to hair ties and button earrings to match with my hand made dresses. I sell through my website and vintage and craft fairs as Shanis showroom.
My Style is 1940s and 50s and my dresses are cut and inspired by this era, I sort out vintage patterns online in markets and in little boxes at the back of antique shops.
This is one of the many things I love about what I do it means I can enjoy looking for eye catching fabrics and adding to my collection of vintage patterns which I think im drawn to as having a back ground in an illustration.
You will find on my stall an insight to what im selling on my website there will be spring dresses along with girls tunic styles, boys dancing skeleton shirts and gifts.
Im looking forward to the Brighton fairy tale fair as it would be a great event to make more contacts with potential customers as I also make made to order custom made garments.
Plans for the future well would at some time like to design my own fabric and maybe a little shop in the lanes?…we will see.
Easter in 10 words; Spring colours, lighter fabrics, flowers in your hair..and chocolate!
If I had to pick a motto one of the ones I always try and go by is always treat others the way you would want to be treated yourself.
