Hi, my name is Claire Garrett and my brand is Silver Fox Felts. I am a Needle felt artist, living in Sussex. I’m completely self taught. My style of needle felting is a dry method, using special needles to penetrate the wool, locking the upper fibres of the wool with the inner fibres, creating a 3D object. My creations are animals of all size and shape, made from pure wool. I don’t use beads or glass eyes in my work. Everything I use is natural.
I enjoy getting my hands on a felting needle and some wool, I get excited to begin every new project and can’t wait to watch it evolve as each creature comes to life in my hands.
On my stall I will have handmade Christmas Mice, Hedgehogs, Rabbits, cats head baubles and many more lovely gifts for Christmas.
I am really looking forward to taking part in this years fair, as last years was a great day and I met so many wonderful people, both customers and fellow sellers.
The best seller last year was the Mice.
Plans for the future are to improve my felting techniques and to hopefully one day turn this into a full time business.
