Today we find out a little more about one of our May Fringe Fair sponsors – Space Yoga Studio. You may not have heard of them just yet as they are new to Brighton but you are sure to very soon!…
Space Yoga Studio is new to Brighton. Tell us more about you and what we can expect from Space Yoga Studio
Space is Brighton & Hove’s newest, most serene and professional studio, offering many different styles for all ages and abilities. As experienced yoga teachers ourselves, who have taught in the top studios in London, we believe we have a feel for what works and what students deserve from a good studio. Indeed, already over 500 people have joined our yoga community, and we are in the process of opening a Senior’s class and Kid’s class. Meanwhile, on Saturday May 19th, as partners of Brighton Fringe, we are opening our doors to everyone with FREE YOGA CLASSES ALL DAY. And you will also see us at Brighton Yoga Festival in July!
What do you enjoy most about owning Space Yoga Studio?
Personally, I enjoy welcoming people into the studio and helping them find the right class for them. Everyone comes to yoga for different reasons and so it gives me great pleasure guiding students into the class that is suitable for their age, ability and condition. I also love seeing people’s faces when they leave class smiling, more relaxed, and ready for the day ahead, or a quiet evening at home.
Thank you for choosing to support The Fairy Tale Fair at Brighton Fringe. Are you looking forward to the fair on May 12th?
As my partner Catia and I only moved to Brighton last year, this is our first festival and so we are really looking forward to soaking up the joyful spring air in our new community. And particularly, we can’t wait to visit The Fairy Tale Fair and try all the lovely food!
What does the future hold for Space Yoga Studio?
Nobody knows what will come to pass, but we hope to spread our message throughout our local community. And in late spring and summer we begin hosting workshops by instructors form Brighton, London and around the world. Our intention is to bring yoga to the wider masses of Brighton & Hove while always maintaining the highest standards of teaching and service for everyone who comes to find themselves on our mats.
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
We have a daily quotation chalk board in reception. Today it reads: ‘If you think adventure is dangerous, try routine. It’s Lethal.’ While above the door to the studio, everyone entering the class passes under our motto: ‘Know thyself…’
How can we find out more about you and where do we find you?
We opened March 12th and are based in the majestic St. Augustine’s Centre for the Arts Spirituality and Wellbeing, a couple of minutes walk from London Road Station near the south entrance to Preston Park. All details can be found on our user-friendly website: www.spaceyogastudio.uk
