Please introduce yourself and your brand….
I am Amanda Pattinson and my business is called Chocoterie, Fait à la main…
I am an artisan chocolatier and specialise not just in handmade chocolates but also biscuits and other treats….
I moved back to the UK last year from having lived in France for four years, and am now selling both online and through retail outlets in my local area.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
I use the influence of both traditional French chocolate and old fashioned recipes in my products but often put a contemporary twist to them.
This I feel helps make my products unique but familiar at the same time.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I love creating and making, I never get bored! I always look at ways of improving what I already do and constantly look for new inspiration.
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Brighton this November? And are you looking forward to taking part?
A selection of my most popular products including fresh cream truffles made with amazing single bean French chocolate, Florentines, cute little chocolate mice and a selection of Christmas goodies.
Yes I am really looking forward to this event, I love meeting new people, seeing what they create and soaking up the atmosphere!
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I hope to expand my business out of my local area and find more retail outlets plus sell more online.
Eventually I would like to have my own chocolate shop, but that’s a long way off…..
