Today we welcome another Fairy Tale Fair newbie who will be joining us on Sunday 24th May at Brighton Open Market – find out more about Kelly of My New Fave…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
A big HELLO from me! I’m Kelly and i run My New Fave. Started in 2014 making and sourcing unusual, intricate and quirky jewellery, I never take myself too seriously and this is definitely reflected in my brand. Quirky, cute and vintage inspired, i love all things miniature, and love to see the smiles on customers faces when they see my jewellery for the first time. I have lots of popular bestsellers, but with ever changing stock as most items are hand-made, so items are rarely the same. I’ve always had a love of jewellery and from an artistic background I decided to make my love into a business and its popularity is going from strength to strength.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
I would describe my jewellery as quirky and fun, it raises a smile. I love all things miniature and take inspiration from many things including nature, fashion and fairytales. Some of my jewellery is elegant, beautiful incorporating natural seeds/shells whilst in contrast some pieces are brightly coloured and inspired from childhood stories.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I really enjoy running my jewellery business and the fact I have started my own small company from scratch, using my creations and turning them into items people want to own and wear. Theres nothing more satisfying than seeing one of my creations actually being worn and loved! I love the fact my jewellery often raises a smile from my customers as well as the odd squeal of excitement.
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Brighton this May? And are you looking forward to taking part?
This will by my very first Fairy Tale Fair in Brighton and I’m so excited to be there. Expect to see my usual quirky, fun jewellery including my signature ‘beach in a bubble’ as well as some specially created Brighton Themed pieces to satisfy the lovely locals.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I have great ambitions to grow my business and venture into different pathways, i would like to grow my list of stockists into lots more independent retailers as well as grow my online presence and who knows…maybe one day my own little quirky shop.
