Introducing: The Sussex Sign Company

BrightonNo commentsApril 16, 2017Claire

Today we’re pleased to introduce The Sussex Sign Company who are kindly supporting our May 20th Brighton Fringe fair.

We chat to Managing Director Norman Mayhew to find out more. Norman established The Sussex Sign Company on the 1st January 1995 with his Father in law. The company became a Limited Company in 2003 and together they grew the business to a great success until Peter’s retirement in 2007.

About the brand

We are incredibly proud of our brand. It is derived from who we are, who we want to be and who people perceive us to be. It is also our most valuable asset. It opens doors to new clients for our professional graphic design facilities, signage and vehicle livery products and services, attracts talented graphic design and signage people, reassures clients and gives us the credibility to move into new markets.

Celebrating over 20 Years

2015 signified a great milestone for The Sussex Sign Company as we celebrated 20 years of creating branding and signage solutions for a wide and varied portfolio of clients. The Sussex Sign Company is a small/medium sized enterprise (SME) and correspondingly, provides a comprehensive range of professional graphic design facilities, signage and vehicle livery products and services for small/medium sized enterprises (SME’s).

By means of unparalleled support from an evolving team of graphic design and signage professionals, the organisation has continued to expand and The Sussex Sign Company successively acquired two main competitors; effectively merging all three organisations in 2009.

Building a reputation

Our reputation has been built upon our design and signage credentials. Today, it is also about the way we behave, the services we provide and how we deliver our promises. We have an incredibly strong team orientated culture and as we continue to grow, it is important to recognise what unifies us culturally and what differentiates us from our competition; in essence it is ‘our brand’.

– whether that be locally or globally – to best support action by local people, including voluntary, community organisations and social enterprise with a donation that is of most benefit to them, especially those working at grass roots and local community level where our support can make a significant difference.

Being part of a community and events such as The Fairy Tale Fair is vital for our Company, we acknowledge that one way to ensure that our business thrives in our community is to support the building of thriving communities.

We’re really excited to be sponsors of The Fairy Tale Fair at Brighton Fringe and look forward to meeting the talented makers on the day.
