We’re really pleased to chat to Hannah of Fond Company today to get to know a bit more about her and her illustrated products…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Hello I’m Hannah and I am the illustrator and designer behind Fond Company. Fond Company sells my playful and stylish illustrated home and giftware, which is mainly animal themed but also inspired by everything I’m fond of.
How would you describe your style and your products?
My illustration style is playful and stylish – it’s quite difficult to categorise them because they aren’t cartoons or caricatures or at the opposite end of the scale detailed true to life illustrations, they’re a simplified version that captures the essence of the animal and they all have personalities of their own. My products range from greeting cards to tote bags, coasters and paper goods.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I enjoy having fun whilst I’m illustrating and bringing each animal or illustration to life. I love that people love my products and their purchases allow me to run a creative business – something I’d always dreamed about.
Do you have a best seller or favourite to make?
My tote bags sell really well – it’s a very close call between dog and cat lovers! My favourite to make is my sparkly new home card, I love everything about the card, the shape of the house and the sparkly material.
What are your plans or ambitions for the future?
Before the pandemic, I had a really clear path about what I wanted to achieve with Fond Company, I wanted to attend trade fairs and focus on growing my business through wholesale but my thoughts on that have changed a little now. Once idea I’ve been thinking about is creating a subscription box or partnering with other subscription boxes to offer my products.

Do you have a motto or favourite quote for inspiration?
If you work hard and believe in your dreams, anything is possible. And I saw a quote last week that really spoke to me and will probably become a firm favourite – No Pressure. No Diamonds.
