We’ve another Fairy Tale Fair newbie to introduce to you today! Meet Alice’s Curious Dream, who will join us in the workshop room at Patcham Methodist on Saturday 10th March.
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Based in Brighton I create bespoke custom and pre designed gifts for people all over the world. Over time I found Crochet to help with my mindfulness training. I soon found that my creations became valued gifts and items for customers due to the passion I put into creating them. Since then I have written and designed my own patterns and products where you can find more cute creations (and for the crochet minded) all my patterns and free blog posts.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
I aim to give an imaginative edge to more classic looking toys. I create custom orders upon request and produce pet portraits which prove extremely popular among the dog lovers community. My other products range from baby clothing and toys, to gifts within the fairytale and fantasy genre. To get your own crochet custom order requested simply message me on one of my platforms below. Your item will be designed, created and posted to you within 1 week.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
My favourite part of running my store is the customers reactions and responses to their custom orders.
It makes me so happy to know others get joy from my creations.
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special at Patcham Methodist on Saturday March 10th? And are you looking forward to taking part?
My stall will be a selection of pet portraits, unicorns, mermaids, dinosaurs… you name it! I like to call it my imagination emporium and it truly varies from fair to fair. I will also be taking custom orders on the day! I will be giving out small freebies during the crafting workshop and selling small kits to get starting yourself with crochet (and providing links to my own beginner videos on you tube to follow.)
Do you have a best seller?
I sell a tremendous amount of pet portraits, the Whippet toy being the most popular to date.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
In 2 years time I aim to have my own pattern books in the process of publishing to craft suppliers.
I also will be opening a craft workshop in Brighton and Hove for those who wish to get crafty, practice mindfulness while creating anything their heart desires and make some new friends in the process!
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
“Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality.” Cheshire cat – Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.
What part of Easter do you enjoy the most?
The bunnies ! and the chocolate of course.
