Today we meet Ey Up Chuck for the first time who we can’t wait to welcome at Brighton Open Market this Sunday 8th December.
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Hi my names Sarah, I’m the designer-maker behind Ey Up Chuck. I make playful acrylic jewellery and custom couple portraits.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
I’m inspired by the natural world, animation and Kawaii culture (Japanese for cute) But I’m always pulled back to designing cute characters. My creations are always bright colourful and shiny.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I really like coming up with new ideas, the research and development. I also really like when you get the first one out of the laser cutter, and you can see it taking shape.
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Christmas Special at Brighton Open Market on Sunday 8th December? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I’m excited to be taking part in the Fairy Tale Fair. My stall will be packed full of cute and glittery animals including sloths, unicorns, bats, orang-utans and some new glittery gnome Christmas tree decorations. I will also have some examples of my custom couple portraits, which will be available to order just in time for Christmas
Do you have a best seller?
The Disco Sloth necklaces are my best seller, they come in a couple of different sizes and a range of colours.
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
Next year is planned already, loads to do. New rings and pins in the pipeline and I’m branching into home wear. It’s going to be fun!
