Tell us a bit about you and what you do/ make….
I am a 21 year old artist turned jeweller. Although I mainly design and make cute food style jewellery, I also dabble with vintage, emo & roller derby pieces.
How would you describe your style?
Imagine a cute world where Alice in Wonderland meets Willy Wonka!
How long have you been making your craft items?
I have been making jewellery all my life. Every year during the summer holidays mum and I would sit in the garden stringing beads onto elastic.
I started making gothic style charms 7 years ago. I had to stop making these charms temporarily as I was accepted onto an Art College Course. Due to the stress of the course, being bullied by a group of girls there and a number of sudden deaths in the family, my Epilepsy made a come back. I took some time out as I no longer knew who I was. It was then that I started making cute food items. Little did I know then that it was the start of something far bigger than I had ever imagined. That was 3 and a half years ago.
Do you have a best seller? If so what is it?
My range of children’s jewellery. Seriously cute necklaces at pocket money prices.
What do you enjoy most about your craft?
Ooo this is a tricky one! I love the fact that every day is different. One day I could be making miniature cupcakes and the next I could be assembling gothy acrylic statement pieces. To top it off I can do it in my pj’s whilst snuggled up with my sausage dog!
Do you take part in other craft events (fairs, open houses, markets etc…)?
We are a regular at Brighton Rockers Roller Derby Bouts. You can also find us at a number of other craft events & markets around Brighton.
What products/ items will you be selling at The Fairy Tale Fair?
You will find our huge range of food style pieces, vintage themed lockets, glam goth crystal skull rings and of course our ever growing range of children’s jewellery.
What are your plans/ ambitions for the future? Or have you already achieved them?
The ultimate dream is to have a shop in Brighton. A shop full of cute, handmade items. Heaven!
