We welcome Samantha Hall Designs today, who we’re really looking forward to having for the first time at our Patcham Easter fair on Saturday 10th March. Read on to find out more about her and her creations…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Hello there! My name is Sam and I am the designer behind Samantha Hall Designs. I am a Brighton based homewares textiles designer. I combine my love for forests, arctic wildlife and Scandinavian design to create unique homewares.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
My work is about contemporary design combined with comfort, for the home. My style involves using watercolour paints which are then combined with beautiful colour and textures that mimic nature. I then take my paintings and scan them into Photoshop to create repeat patterns. I use UK based suppliers and recycled packaging where I can, because we all should do our bit to save the planet!
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I love designing patterns and seeing my work come to life within my products. I also love walking in forests, mountains and fields where I can pick up leaves, pine cones and flowers to draw! I am a bit of a collector!
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Easter Special at Patcham Methodist on Saturday March 10th? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I am so excited to be taking part at the Fairy Tale Fair! I am looking forward to mingling with other artists and chatting to lovely visitors. When you visit my stall you can find my cushions which come in various sizes and are 100% cotton, mugs, art prints and new products from my candle range. My new candle range includes pillar candles and tea lights which have trapped leaves in them and the scents are inspired by the forest. If your looking for the perfect mothers day gift then I’m sure I will have something!
Do you have a best seller?
I would have to say my best seller is my Mother and Baby Polar Bear print. You can find it on a variety of products including my mugs and cushions. People are always commenting on how cute it is!
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I hope to be selling locally within shops in Brighton soon so all you lovely people can shop my work by the sea!
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
I would say, always believe in yourself and you will go far! Never doubt your own work.
What part of Easter do you enjoy the most?
What I love about Easter is being with your loved ones and sharing some tasty chocolate.
