In the first of our Patcham Fair stall holder interviews this Christmas we meet Sew Darn Sassy, who are new to our Patcham fair for Christmas 2017. Meet them on 18th November in person and find out more about them below…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Hello we are Polly & Clair and we are both very creative and crafty. Between us we have studied or been professionally trained in footwear, millinery, jewellery, glass, dressmaking, machine & hand sewing and much more!
We met in Brighton over 10 years ago whilst both working at the Footwear brand Irregular Choice and our friendship was sealed over our love of colour, cocktails and all things vintage!
Our festive wreath workshops began in 2014 and have proved very popular, where we teach you how to make one of our Kitsch creations.
We sell our wreaths all year round, for any occasion and offer a bespoke service for all your sassy needs.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
Its all about colour, vintage inspiration and some extra kitsch! We use a lot of items we have from our personal collections of treasure and original items from our travels. we both feel like we were born in the wrong era!
What do you enjoy most about your work?
playing with all the materials and colour that we can find and recycling and reusing things again!
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Christmas Special at Patcham Methodist on November 18th? And are you looking forward to taking part?
so we have been busy making lots of different size wreaths and having fun playing with new colour combinations and fabrics, we have some Scandi inspired ones and even a mint & white combo. We will also be introducing our new wooden faced angels and baubles. The angels are made using 60’s vintage Christmas wrapping paper, they are very lovely! Everything we make can be used for many Christmas to come and you can actually have them up all year round.
Do you have a best seller?
our wreaths always sell well, but our new angels and angel baubles are proving to be very popular too
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
