Please introduce yourself and your brand….
Hi babes! My name is Sofaya and I’m head Glitta Babe in charge at Headblush Glitta! We are all about super long-lasting and easy to use biodegradable cosmetic glitter paint for bold and badass babes like yourself. We bring eco-friendly sparkle with our Glitta Bar to all sorts of amazing events in and around Brighton, as well as selling our glittery concoctions for you to take home and stash in your makeup bag for any occasion you feel a bit of glitz is appropriate (a.k.a. all the time)! You can find us selling our Glitta Whip and Glitta Jam products at the Fairy Tale Fair on Sunday 11th November.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
Our style is big and loud and fun. Hard to miss and impossible to resist! Oh, and very shiny. Our Glitta products reflect this too – bright branding, bold colours with punny names and ridiculous stories behind each product. We just love being as extra as possible and having fun with every part of the business!
What do you enjoy most about your work?
The best part of the job, by far, is all the fantastic, vibrant people we get to meet and adorn. Glitter has the effect of really bringing people out of their shell, and we love the boost of confidence we get to give them with their glitzy purchase, whether it’s a Glitta Makeover or a pot of Glitta Whip/Jam.
Ensuring that we limit both our own and consumers use of plastic is also of huge importance, which is why we recently switched to 100% biodegradable glitter and plastic-free packaging and postage materials.
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Christmas Special at Brighton Open Market this November? And are you looking forward to taking part?
You can expect to find some very bright makeup, a great deal of sequins, sparkling conversation and a silly amount of biodegradable glitter! We might even have a special on-the-day only deal too (shhh!)
Do you have a best seller?
The gorgeous rose gold dream that is Just Peachy Glitta Whip is by far our most popular product, with more sparkle than you can shake a stick at given it’s mix of gold, silver and pink fine glitters. It is the perfect ‘pop’ of sparkle to any makeup look!
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
The dream is to be stocked in shops and online so that we can be in as many makeup bags as possible, replacing all of the usual polyester plastic glitter blends you would usually find!
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
There is no such thing as ‘too much’.
