Today we welcome Gillyflower Designs for the first time, who will be selling with us at our Brighton Open Market fair on March 29th…
Please introduce yourself and your brand….
My Name is Nancy, I created Gillyflower Designs whilst I was in college in 2011.
How would you describe your style and your creations?
I like to think my creations are fun and bring joy to peoples day when they see them. I think my items fit in very well in quirky old Brighton.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I love seeing people at craft fairs I attend grinning and nudging their friends to show them an item on my stall. The mixture of jewellery and upholstery seems to attract all types of customer and I’ve had some wonderful conversations.
What can we expect to find on your stall at The Fairy Tale Fair Brighton this Spring? And are you looking forward to taking part?
I’m very much looking forward to being at the Open Market again, alongside my unique jewellery I will have professional upholstery, including footstools and a chair. I take custom orders so don’t be afraid to enquire!
Do you have any plans or ambitions for the future?
I am in the middle of a 3 year Upholstery apprenticeship, and intend to stay in the trade with Gillyflower Designs running alongside.
Describe what Easter is to you in 10 words or less:
Chocolate. Sugar. More chocolate. Pancakes.
Do you have a motto or inspirational quote?
Don’t waste time.
